ABSTRACT

Objective@#To sample survey the relationship between acute mountain sickness and mental health of officers and soldiers, so as to provide theoretical direction for the psychological prevent and counsel of them.@*Methods@#In May 2017, 61 officers and soldiers were selectedas subject investigated, and divided to AMS group included 35 persons and non-AMS group included 26 persons according to the finding of theAMS symptom division point table, then used symptom self-testing tableto test and evaluate the mental health of them.@*Results@#The AMS group showed significantly higher scores on the psychological parameters such as omatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, phobicanxiety, parnoid ideation and so on (105.20±13.82, 1.37±0.26, 1.14±0.21, 1.16±0.19, 1.16±0.18, 1.06±0.11, 1.10±0.17, 1.22±0.19, P<0.05) .@*Conclusion@#The mental factors of omatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, phobic anxiety, parnoid ideation and so on had great influence on AMS, we should pay attention to these factors and carry on mental intervention, and enhance anti-stress ability of individual, to ensure the successful completion of plateau military mission.

ABSTRACT

Objective To design a monitoring system of the state of life for a crew in order to ensure their life safety. Methods A wearable physiological parameter monitoring technology was used, and the fabric electrode and temperature sensors were embedded in the vest. The thress-lead electrode was used to extract ECG and respiration signal, temperature signals were collected with a thermistor of negative temperature parameters.Blood pressure and blood oxygen saturation were detected by a finger cuff type of blood oxygen sensors. The volume pulse wave velocity method was used to extract blood pressure signals, and the photoelectric measurement method was used to extract blood oxygen saturation signals. The state of life was evaluated by calculation of the times of respiration and divided into 4 states. Results and Conclusion The system is capable of low load dynamic monitoring of physiological parameters of a crew and evaluation of their state of life, contributing much to self-aid and buddy aid among the crew.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo investigate the occupational health risk level of workers exposed to 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) in arms industry, so as to provide basis for revising the standard of diagnosis for chronic TNT poisoning, and making protective measures for workers.

METHODSThe retrospective study about the morbidity of total malignant tumor was taken on the male workers exposed to TNT over one year from eight military factories during 1970 to 1995.

RESULTSThe morbidity of total malignant tumor in male TNT exposed workers were markedly higher than that of controls, and the relative risk (RR) was 2.32. Compared with the total malignant tumor mortality of male populations in large and medium cities in 1973 to 1975 and 1990 to 1992, the standardized mortality ratio(SMR) were 71.8 and 179.6 respectively, the CI of 99% was 71.8-144.2, indicating that the morbidity of malignant tumor of male workers exposed to TNT was higher than that of normal populations. Liver cancer morbidity was 31.91% of the total malignant tumor, and its mortality was 3.97 times of the controls. Compared with the liver cancer mortality of male populations in large and medium cities in 1973 to 1975 and 1990 to 1992, SMR were 150.5 and 381.6 respectively, these data were significantly different, and CI of 99% was 59.3-184.0. The average death age of the TNT exposed workers (51.7 years old) was younger than that of the same factory control(54.1 years old) and male populations(55.6 years old) in large and medium cities. The incidence of liver cancer was closely related to the length of service, the kinds of job in a factory and the level exposed to TNT, and alcohol consumption was synergistic with TNT carcinogenesis.

CONCLUSIONThe morbidity of malignant tumor of male workers exposed to TNT was markedly higher than that of normal populations. Liver cancer was the most remarkable malignancy, and its incidence was closely related to the length of service and the kinds of job and the level exposed to TNT.

ABSTRACT

Examination of composite retinal fluorescein angiograms of 381 eyes (227 cases) with proliferative and preproliferative diabetic retinopathy revealed that4 basic patterns of capillary nonperfusion were reeognizable, i. e., (1) the peripheral type, 20 eyes (5.3%), (2) the mid-peripheral type, 974 eyes (71.9%), (3) the. posterior central type, 39 eyes (10.2%), and (4)the generalized type, 48 eyes (12.6%). The progressive tendency and prognosis of each type were discussed.

ABSTRACT

213 eyes (138 cases)with diabetic retinopathy (DR) were treated with laser panretinal photoeoagulation(PRP)and followed up for 3~72 months, during which time the visual acuity improved in 70 eyes (32.9%), remained unaltered in 77 eyes(36.1%), and diminished in 66 eyes (31%). The results indicated that PRP for the treatment of DR was effective and safe, with few complications. Factors affecting performance of the technique and visual prognosis were discussed.
